What's so special about Judi Dench?

It has taken me long enough to finally become a fan of Judi Dench - but now that I've seen her live on stage in Hayfever
I have to say that she's left quite an impression.

Apart from having an extraordinary talent she seems to be extremely patient (at least it appeared that way at the stage door
when she never tired of signing pictures or having her photo taken with various people), gracious and warm. It's such a pleasure
seeing her on stage or in a movie. One of my favourites is Mrs Henderson presents - I just love the character and the way
Ms Dench portrays Laura Henderson. It's definitely a must-see for every fan and for all who want to know what makes
her such an outstanding actress (I really think that she should have received that Oscar for the part!).

Actually it was Mrs Henderson presents that triggered my curiosity to see more of Ms Dench, then Hayfever followed... and hearing her sing Send in the Clowns really turned me into a fan. I absolutely adore that song, and Ms Dench nearly made me cry with her interpretation (something not even Julie Andrews had managed so far).

So, all I can say is: If you get the chance to see this outstanding actress on stage - don't miss it.
