What's so special about Julie Andrews?

Most people who have ever watched a movie with her would agree that she is an extraordinary actress. But there's more to Julie Andrews than just that or her beautiful voice (even with the restricted vocal range) or her talent as an author.

It is difficult to put your finger on what exactly makes her such a special person. For someone like us who hasn't ever met her it is probably just sensing a wonderful, warm, charming person with a great sense of humour.

While watching one of her films or listening to her singing one can tell that she does it with passion and love. And when reading or watching an interview it's quite obvious that she managed to keep her feet on the ground despite being highly praised for her accomplishments in music, theatre and film.
