What's so special about Celia Imrie?
What makes someone special? I'm not really sure, and it has taken me long enough to realize what a wonderful, clever, charming and downright attractive woman and actress Ms Imrie actually is. As a friend said, she's just gorgeous in a particular way, a very talented actress with an intoxicating smile - and she looks absolutely sexy in tweed. ;-)
I've never been lucky enough to see her on stage - so far - so I'm just very glad that there's now a dvd of Acorn Antiques - The Musical. Her performance in that one is definitely a "must" for every fan - and for those who want to know what makes her so special.
She manages to make even a small part memorable and the audience crave for more. Whether she makes you laugh, as in Acorn Antiques, or cry (the funeral scene in Midsomer Murders - Dark Autumn was one of the most heartbreaking things I've ever seen), you don't want to blink as not to miss anything.
